I am most excited to build new connections, and possibly personal relationships. I don’t want to leave this program and be forgotten. I want the people that I get to know to think of me whenever they hear, for example, someone is from Chicago or studied nursing, and feel comfortable enough to reach out to me with new opportunities or challenges.
What is your most memorable college experience?
My entire college experience has been an ongoing memorable experience! From finding the friends I believe will be there for me way after we graduate, to building a good reputation for myself on campus and pursuing the career I’ve been completely enamored with since I can remember — my college experience has truly been a dream come true.
Where do you want to be in 10 years, and how can this internship help you get there?
In 10 years, I want to actively be working in the hospital as a Nurse Anesthetist. This internship is definitely going to help advance my networking skills, which is important no matter what field someone decides to go into.
What does philanthropy mean to you?
To me, philanthropy means giving back to a community that helped mold you into the person you have become in order for them to continue to influence the next generation.
What excites you most about spending your summer in Baltimore?
The museums! I could spend hours by myself in a museum just taking in all forms of art and information. There is something special about being able to experience the emotion that goes into the many creations that are placed in museums. It’s absolutely beautiful.
What is something you are passionate about?
I am an extremely passionate person. If I have a task to complete, I will dedicate all of my time to do it until I am satisfied with it.
