Jada Miley

Jada Miley Morgan State University ’24, Major: Elementary Education 

Jada Miley is a senior at Morgan State University, majoring in elementary education. She is learning how to apply her studies and her passion for helping others with the Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine Engagement Team this summer. Miley can tell this internship will broaden her horizons beyond the classroom.  

What are you most excited about during your internship? 

I’m most excited about being around truly important people and networking to put my name in rooms I never thought of being in before. I could definitely see myself working with the events teams. I love what they do, and all of the things I was able to collaborate with have inspired me professionally. 

 What is your most memorable college experience?  

Working as an intern that mentors high school students about the college experience. 

 Where do you want to be in 10 years, and how can this internship help you get there? 

I want to be well-developed in a career that I love, making ground-breaking growth towards the mission of that said career. ORIGINS will help me get there by giving me the hands-on experience I need to find my niche. 

 What does philanthropy mean to you?  

To me, philanthropy is the giving of things that are valuable, such as time, talent, and sentiments, to improve one’s quality of life. 

 What excites you most about spending your summer in Baltimore? 

I’m most excited about exploring the area through work. 

 What is something you are passionate about?  

Helping others thrive and giving back to the ones that push me towards success.
