Seth Hardy

Seth Hardy’s passion for continuous learning drew him to Johns Hopkins, where he joined the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences (KSAS) development office in fall 2024. As development coordinator, Seth provides administrative support for the gift officers in his office, including calendar maintenance, gift processing, and database management within JHAS.
“My role requires a lot of cross-division facilitation,” he says. “I work with teams from across the university.” A Baltimore native, Seth attended the Gilman School and graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business technology administration.
Below, Seth shares more about his team, his love of rugby, and his champion show dog, Samson.
What attracted you to Johns Hopkins?
I was attracted to the lifelong learning mentality at Hopkins. The idea of working and being surrounded by others with the same ambition to grow and learn made Hopkins an obvious choice for me.
What do you like most about your job?
In my role at KSAS, I enjoy our close-knit team. Everyone in the office plays to each other’s strengths. I’ve played sports most of my life and the way a team gets along is essential to how they perform. It’s one of the reasons why our office does so well.
What do you like to do when you are not working?
Outside of work, I play and train for rugby. I play for a local men’s team called Rocky Gorge, as well as Young Glory and Capital Selects. Playing rugby has given me the opportunity to travel, meet great people, and have amazing experiences across the country.
Please share something we don’t know about you.
My dog Samson, a bullmastiff, is a show dog. He comes from a line of show dogs and won his championship at age 3. Samson is now 5-years-old and not currently showing. He spends most of his days snoring and eating. I love having him home with me.
