What drew you to this opportunity?
I was drawn to this opportunity because philanthropy has played a significant role in my personal and academic journey. Receiving grants during the early years of my university experience had a meaningful impact on my ability to pursue higher education. I really value the generosity of donors and philanthropists who make opportunities like this possible because it inspires me to give back in similar ways.
What are you most excited about during your internship?
I am excited to learn more about philanthropy, connect with passionate individuals, and gain hands-on experience that allows me to contribute meaningfully to my community.
What is your most memorable college experience?
One of my most memorable experiences was serving as Vice President of the Honors Club and representing our organization at ConnectFest. This event brings together various campus clubs to share their missions and recruit new members. I enjoyed engaging with students, forming new connections, and helping others find communities in which they could grow. Moreover, many of my lasting friendships started at this event.
Where do you want to be in 10 years, and how can this internship help you get there?
In 10 years, I hope to be in a role where I’m actively bridging the gap between technology and people, whether that’s through product design, user experience, or community-focused innovation. This internship will give me valuable insight into how technology and philanthropy intersect, and how outreach and empathy can be integrated into professional work.
What does philanthropy mean to you?
To me, philanthropy means creating a meaningful impact through generosity, empathy, and action. It’s about uplifting others and building stronger, more inclusive communities.
What excites you most about spending your summer in Baltimore?
I am excited to explore more of Baltimore and discover new places, people, and experiences that I haven’t encountered yet.
