What drew you to this opportunity?
I was drawn to this opportunity by the chance to deepen my understanding of advancement and contribute to meaningful work. It’s especially significant to me because both of my grandparents worked at Johns Hopkins, making this experience feel deeply personal and full circle.
What are you most excited about during your internship?
I’m most excited to join the Hopkins team and learn from the professionals around me while building lasting connections.
What is your most memorable college experience?
Joining the executive committee for the Eve Carson Scholarship Program has been one of my most meaningful college experiences — second only to rushing Franklin Street after beating Duke. I stepped into this role during a time of uncertainty, and it has been pivotal in shaping my identity as a leader. The opportunity to uplift and celebrate other student leaders on campus has been both humbling and incredibly rewarding.
Where do you want to be in 10 years, and how can this internship help you get there?
In 10 years, I hope to be in a leadership role at a mission-driven organization, working at the intersection of philanthropy, equity, and education. This internship will help me get there by sharpening my skills in donor engagement, strategic communication, and collaborative project work.
What does philanthropy mean to you?
To me, philanthropy means using our resources to uplift communities and invest in a better future. It’s about building meaningful relationships rooted in shared values and the desire to make a difference.
What excites you most about spending your summer in Baltimore?
I’m excited to explore a new city, immerse myself in its culture, and reconnect with family friends in the area.
