What drew you to this opportunity?

What drew me to this opportunity was the chance to explore a side of higher education I hadn’t considered before. I’ve always been interested in using technology to make a difference, and this internship gives me the chance to see how technology can connect with advancement, philanthropy, and institutional impact.

What are you most excited about during your internship?

I’m excited to learn from professionals at Johns Hopkins and be part of a team that’s making a difference. I’m looking forward to growing personally and professionally, and gaining skills I can carry into my career.

What is your most memorable college experience?

Besides being President’s Distinguished Graduate Speaker at CCBC’s 2025 Commencement Ceremony, my most memorable experience was being selected for a national award as a DREAM Scholar to represent my college at the Achieving the Dream Conference. I had the chance to perform an original “I AM” poem in front of thousands of college leaders and students from across the country. It was a powerful moment I’ll never forget.

Where do you want to be in 10 years, and how can this internship help you get there?

In 10 years, I hope to be a cybersecurity analyst, working on solutions that help protect underserved communities. This internship gives me a unique opportunity to sharpen my communication, collaboration, and project management skills.

What does philanthropy mean to you?

To me, philanthropy means creating access, lifting up others, and giving back in ways that open doors. Whether it’s through mentorship, donations, or time, it’s about helping people reach opportunities they might not have otherwise had.

What excites you most about spending your summer in Baltimore?

I already live in Baltimore, but I’m excited to experience the city in a new way through this internship. Being part of Johns Hopkins and working with people from different places will help me see more of what the city has to offer professionally and personally.
