What brought you to the ORIGINS program, and what do you hope to take with you when it’s over?
I have a passion for educational advancement, and the ORIGINS program provides excellent insight into that field. I’m hoping to walk away with a deeper understanding of the operations of institutional development, as well as valuable connections.

What does philanthropy mean to you, and has anyone in your life shown you what giving back looks like?
To me, philanthropy starts with an ethos of valuing the person, the sanctity and quality of life over personal gain. My grandmother is the person who shaped that belief. I watched her volunteer and show up for others constantly, even through her own disabilities. She never stopped.

If you could fund one thing — at your school, in your community, or worldwide — what would it be and why?
If I could fund one thing, it would be tuition for low-income students so they could attend college. I believe that students who have been failed by many systems might be encouraged to pursue fields that could change that!
