What is your most memorable college experience?

My most memorable college experience to date was organizing a campus-wide wellness retreat as the lead at the college fitness center. The event brought together students and faculty for activities ranging from yoga sessions to nutritional workshops, fostering a stronger sense of community and promoting a holistic approach to health. This role not only allowed me to impact my peers positively but also strengthened my leadership and event management skills.

Where do you want to be in 10 years, and how can this internship help you get there?

In ten years, I aspire to be a leader in sustainable technology development, specifically focusing on creating innovative solutions that minimize environmental impact while enhancing efficiency. This internship is a critical stepping stone, providing me with essential industry experience, exposure to cutting-edge research, and the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with pioneers in the field.

What does philanthropy mean to you?

To me, philanthropy means making a positive impact on the lives of others through the generous donation of resources, time, or skills. It’s about stepping beyond oneself to support initiatives that address social issues, enhance community well-being, and foster a spirit of giving. Even if someone isn’t wealthy, they can still be a philanthropist by contributing in ways that leverage their strengths and passions to help make the world a better place.

What excites you most about spending your summer in Baltimore?

What excites me most about spending the summer in Baltimore is the opportunity to immerse myself in a vibrant, diverse urban culture with a rich history. Additionally, Baltimore’s unique blend of community and innovation makes it an ideal backdrop for personal and professional growth during my internship.

What is something you are passionate about?

I’m extremely passionate about sports, particularly soccer. It’s more than just a game to me; it’s a way to connect with others, foster teamwork, and embrace diverse cultures. Playing soccer has not only kept me physically active but also taught me valuable life lessons about perseverance, leadership, and strategic thinking. My enthusiasm for soccer extends off the field too, as I love following international leagues and sharing this passion through coaching and community engagement.

One fun fact about me is that I’m an avid nature enthusiast, and I make it a point to walk through Rock Creek Park every weekend. It’s my way of reconnecting with nature and finding a moment of peace away from the bustle of city life.
